Aki: Enable Aki to Access/Detect “Someday,” “This Week,” and “This Month” Tasks

Aki is a great assistant, but a key gap is its inability to access tasks scheduled in the “Someday,” “This Week,” and “This Month” sections. I use these to organize tasks once they leave my Inbox, and they’re an essential part of how I plan and prioritize work. Without visibility into these sections, Aki can’t help ensure I’m addressing tasks before deadlines creep up—like the end of a week or month.

Would love to see a roadmap for when Aki will be able to support this!

This is really important for full Aki usefulness. In fact, I’m so surprised it isn’t here already! It’s a really vital part of planning, and isn’t that a big part of what Aki is here to help us do?

Also would like to see this. For example, if Aki is asked to update tags on tasks within a project, it is unable to identify any tasks with scheduled for “Someday”. Aki is essentially flying blind and unable to perform assistance to any tasks in these types of categories

Thanks for your feedback, Davis! I understand how Aki not recognizing “Someday” tasks limits its assistance. We’ll log this as a feature request with our product team for future improvements.

      Appreciate you sharing this!

Hello Lorenzo Cacciotti! Do you mean to schedule a task to the following week as time frame? Not on the same day a week after?

If yes, this is a current limitation but let me know!

Jeson P When I schedule a task in the inbox I have the option to schedule it generically for "next week" and that task will appear in the "upcoming" section, under "next week". Similarly, you can schedule for "this week", "this month" and "next month", and you can see those tasks in the "upcoming" section. What I have found is that Aki is unable to schedule a task this way for a week without specifying the exact day. It would have been useful for me to create a workflow and generate a task every week, without a specific day.

Lorenzo Cacciotti: Totally make sense! We currently do not support this and we have scheduled to add this as a limitation in the guide :)
