Aki: On-demand, triggerable templates for Aki (beyond routine schedules)

Currently, templates(Workflows) in Akiflow can only be set up in settings and are triggered on a routine or recurring basis. This limits their usefulness for flexible workflows.

It would be very helpful to have a way to:

  1. Trigger templates on demand, not just on a schedule.

  2. Use a button (similar to the “Replan” button) or a dedicated section in Akiflow where we can instantly activate a chosen template.

  3. When triggered, Aki could automatically process the template as if it had been typed in, following the instructions linked to that template.

    this would be aweomse, maybe also other triggers? like ifft of one hour for event start possibly?

      Thanks for the suggestion! That does sound like a useful idea. I’ll make sure to relay your feedback to our developers so they can consider adding more triggers, such as an IFTTT-style option for one hour before an event starts.

      We really appreciate you sharing these ideas — they help us improve Akiflow for everyone.

    one idea would be to build in a dropdown at the far right of the AI input box where a workflow can be triggered.

    Thanks for sharing this! On-demand templates would definitely make workflows a lot more flexible and powerful. We’re not working on this just yet, but I’ll flag it to the product team—it’s a smart idea and aligns well with how people want to use Akiflow more dynamically.
