Allow users to create saved Views of their upcoming Task filters and Calendar Filters.

Users should be able to configure views of their upcoming tasks view categories and save them for particularly projects or purposes. Ideally, this would be paired with my other suggested improvement of being able to pin items to the sidebar. Alternatively, you could create a custom views section where you are able to see all of your saved views.

You should be able to do this for calendar configurations as well as Task Date Views. Ideally you'd be able to associate a view with a project so that you could see all attached views when you open a project. Right now, I have many types of configured calendars that have different filters and options selected for my different needs and I have to set these manually each time. The ability to save these would be extremely helpful.

    Calendar: create sets of calendar

As Fantastical does, I'd like to create sets of calendars (es work + personal calendars) to easily switch from one set to another

This is a great feature for those with multiple calendars and co-worker or family calendars in one place. It makes it much more manageable to switch between a work, setting up meeting with colleagues or family context.

From Hardik: Ability to quickly select which calendars to show and which one to hide like morgen in a fast shortcut format like (Shift + 0) shows all & (Shift + 1) to choose the first batch of calendar etc.

YES!! Just made the same request. It’s SUCH a useful feature in Fantastical, and a big reason why Akiflow is hard for me to use as my main calendar app. I’d really like to move over to just using this!

Shorcut: Allow Multiple Calendars to Be Mapped to a Single Keyboard Shortcut

Currently, users can map individual calendars to a Cmd + # key for quick toggling. It would be helpful to support mapping multiple calendars to the same shortcut, allowing users to toggle groups of calendars (e.g. personal, work, and shared project calendars) on or off simultaneously with one key command.

    Feature Request: Cross-Account Calendar Grouping

Title: Enable Custom Calendar Groups for Enhanced Organization

    Problem:

Users with multiple calendars across various accounts (e.g., Google, Outlook, Apple) struggle with cluttered sidebars and inefficient context switching. Manually toggling many individual calendars to focus on "work," "personal," or specific projects is time-consuming and lacks a higher-level organizational structure.

    Proposed Solution:

Introduce a "Calendar Groups" feature allowing users to:

    1. Create Custom Groups: Define groups like "Work," "Personal," "Client X," "Project Y."

    2. Assign Calendars Flexibly: Add any connected calendar (from any account) to one or more custom groups.

    3. Toggle Group Visibility: Easily show/hide all calendars within a group with a single click in the sidebar.

    4. Enhance Workflow: Integrate group selection into event creation and potentially quick filters for focused views.

    How it Works:

Users would access a new section in settings or the calendar sidebar to create, name, and populate these groups with their existing connected calendars. Toggling a group would affect the visibility of all assigned calendars simultaneously.

    Benefits:

    • Superior Organization: Reduces clutter and improves navigation

    • for users with many calendars.

    * Efficient Context Switching: Quickly switch between different "modes" (e.g., work focus, personal focus) with one click.

    *

Streamlined Management: Simplifies event creation and filtering by organizing calendars logically.

    * Increased Adaptability: Better supports complex setups with multiple accounts and diverse responsibilities.

    * Enhanced Focus: Provides clearer, more relevant calendar views when needed.

    Example Use Case:

A freelancer manages a personal Google Calendar, a client's Outlook calendar, and a project-specific Apple calendar. They create groups like "Personal" (Google, Apple) and "Client Work" (Outlook, specific Apple calendar) to instantly view relevant events without manual toggling.

Can I have this version of my request deleted? For some reason the renderer on the mobile site (at least on Brave) is broken but doesn't render the content of the text box properly.

    Easily Changeable Calendar Sets

The calendar Fantastical has a fantastic feature that allows you to create specific sets of calendars. So while I'm at work, I might look at everything to do with work, clients, scheduling, and the like, but then, when I'm home, in a single click, I can add my family's calendars and social events. You can even have it change automatically by time(s) of day or maybe even location(?). It’s VERY cool — the calendar is much cleaner this way, and the change back and forth is really fast because you don’t have to hunt down each individual item to turn on and off. Hope you’ll consider this! Seems like relatively simple coding (compared to much of what you take on, anyway) for a great user-experience upgrade. :)
