Better Goals handling in Weekly Reviews

When planning next week, I find myself frustrated with the Goal section. I usually rarely have new goals. I have tasks in the backlog that I want to turn into goals for next week. So I would like to be able to choose within the existing list of tasks which ones should become goals.

I would also like to add to daily rituals a review of the week’s goals to make I am not losing time on “noise” and keep in mind the big picture. Maybe I can add this with custom workflows.

Rituals: Show Weekly Tasks during Weekly Goals selection

It would help if the tasks for next week were displayed in the weekly goals page in place of the calendar. Or maybe combine the weekly goals and weekly planning page as you can adjust priorities there. You could keep the list of weekly goals in the left panel.

Currently, I think I'm going to have to solve it by going through my tasks in the normal view step first and then going through the weekly shutdown/planning ritual. It feels like I'll be adding an unnecessary step though.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, Julie! That makes a lot of sense.

For now, you can manage this from the Upcoming page. Just multi-select the tasks you want, then hold Shift and press ! to set a priority and turn them into goals.

Also, adding a Goals view into daily planning sounds like a great idea. I’ll share that with the team.
