"Done" tasks too prominent

Really enjoying my trial of Akiflow so far, especially the Gmail and Slack integrations.

One small piece of feedback: completed tasks feel too visually prominent. The bright green checkmarks and dark text draw my attention away from unfinished tasks. I'd love an option to make completed items more subdued (lighter gray text, lower contrast, etc.) so active tasks stand out more clearly.

    Hi Cassandra, thanks for your feedback. Glad to hear Gmail and Slack are working well for you.

    Today, the closest options are to hide completed tasks from some views with Show Done, collapse the Done section, or hide Done tasks from the calendar settings. That helps reduce clutter, but it doesn’t yet let you keep completed tasks visible in a more subdued style.

    We’re going to track this as a visual hierarchy improvement.

    One question that would help us shape it: would you prefer completed tasks to be more subtle by default, or would you rather have a setting like “Dim completed tasks” so you can choose?

      hi, thanks so much for replying so quickly. I would prefer more subtle by default. While it’s great to have that sense of accomplishment it just looked too cluttered.

          It’s not a deal breaker yet as there are so many features I’m enjoying now— but it makes having the “done” tab useless for me and it is something that I would get frustrated with in the long run.
