For people who work by themselves and therefore don't have a team it's a waste of UI, you have an empty bar open at all times taking away calendar space for no reason.
For people who struggle to focus (like myself!) the icons in the team bar are a constant trigger for distraction. I use Akiflow to monitor time slot after time slot, seeing icons for other people on the side is an invite for the mind to wander. (In my case, I have a bug (already talked to support) where I have an unpinnble contact in my bar, with unshared calendar so I also gave a red "!" on it. It's completely disrupting my flow. I know I sound dramatic but this is also why I use this tool)

The sidebar was there before this feature, to accomodate the meet with, share availability, help button and the chat.
I'm glad you contacted support for that issues, we want you to be able to hide all the contacts you don't need so you can have the empty sidebar and don't get distracted. We'll fix it asap!

Hi Valeria, you can already hide all the team members by opening the + button and un-pin them. May I ask you why you don't find it useful? Thank you

Hi Stefania, two main reasons:
