Information Security, Data at Rest, GDPR, and Data Portability

I would like to ask about the security mechanisms Akiflow employs on the server side to protect user data. I heavily rely on Akiflow for all my work and personal activities, and I am becoming increasingly concerned about what would happen if Akiflow were subject to a data breach.

Secondly, I would like to know whether, for the purposes of Article 20 of the GDPR, it will be possible for European users to have portability of their data.

Another very important point is whether the Akiflow team plans to release a version with an on-prem backend for enterprise customers.

Best

Hi @Reece R currently this feature is not on our roadmap yet. However, you can export your data in SQL format if needed.

To export your data, please log in to the web app at web.akiflow.com. Once logged in, open a new tab and go to: https://web.akiflow.com/#/settings/myAccount?debug=true. From there, you can initiate the export process, which will provide your data in SQLite format.

    Akiflow data backup

    Hey Akiflow team,

I'm in the process of migrating my entire life's workflow into Akiflow, but I've run into something that's becoming a genuine point of concern for me. There doesn't seem to be any way to create a local backup or export my data.

Honestly, this feels like a critical piece of infrastructure that's missing. Every other major task manager I've used has this as a standard feature, and its absence here makes it difficult to fully commit to the platform with the peace of mind that my data is secure and portable. It creates a slight hesitation to go 'all-in' if that makes sense.

For a tool this powerful, data backup feels less like a feature and more like a foundational requirement for user trust.

Hoping this can be prioritized on the roadmap.

    Warm Regards, Reece

Hi@Reece!Thanks so much for sharing this thoughtful feedback you’re absolutely right that having a local backup or export option is essential for peace of mind. While it’s not yet available, it’s something our team has discussed and hopefully something we can add very soon!

Hi @Jayrich Sebullen could you please confirm the current ‘state’ of this feature, is it on the roadmap, in development, still a request and not being worked on etc. This is a critically important feature :(
