Locked Tasks and Time Slots 2-way sync with the calendar

I noticed that Akiflow scheduled tasks in calendar have this description:

Do NOT edit this here, go to Akiflow to edit.

It makes sense that you don't want edits to happen normally but given Akiflow can't be my main calendar due to lack of features, it's inevitable that I move an akiflow task to different timeslot or delete it at some point not using akiflow.

I do this reflexively because I'm used to moving things on my GCal. It's tough to break years and years of habits with GCal just to make the Akiflow integration work smoothly.

I add that Sunsama does it and it's very useful. Sometimes I receive new invite on my Google Agenda on my phone, and need to reorder the task on that day. But the reordering doesn't reflect on Akiflow. Frustrating.

I second this too, as bidirectional sync was possible in Sunsama (which I was using before switching to akiflow), and now I am kinda lacking this.

Even if I am using Akiflow, in my opinion, my GCalendar events should at least be draggable from any calendar app.

    For example:

    • When I am using my iPad, I'm mostly using the native calendar app to have an overview of my GCalendar, I find it beautiful (especially in dark mode)

    • Because I used used Google web interface for more than 15years, I still have this reflex to go to calendar.google.com to see what's going on.

    • I am sometimes using Notion Calendar (ex cron calendar) on macOS, in order to have a bird eye view of my calendars + my notion databases. Also, I like to use Notion Calendar with shared calendars (in order to have a clear separation in my life, to me Akiflow view is for productivity and NotionCalendar view is more for a bird-eye view, shared calendars, birthdays, etc)

    • Right now, I have multiple recurring slots and I have to switch to Google Agenda to change color slots.

Jules LIBERT: Thanks for your feedback Jules!

Just so you know, you can use web.akiflow.com on your iPad :)

Yes, I second this. It is a must-have feature for me. I use Google Calendar on multiple of my devices including Alexa screens and other smart devices, as well as using Gcal app as the default calendar app on phone. Changing the task time or duration in Gcal should change it in Akiflow too. So far I have to do this twice every day when I am on mobile and my day changes, first in Gcal and then manually in Akiflow.

All other scheduling apps support this.

Engineer: Thanks for your feedback, I'll let you know if we introduce this feature. Are you currently using our mobile app?

Stefania Yes I am using it. It seems to work good but does have some sync issues for me almost everyday, but that's not the reason why I prefer Gcal app even on phone. I mostly always just use Gcal since it has all of my contexts (non-work), which I can alter on the go. I open the Akiflow app when I need to change something important about work tasks such as adding a new task or deleting a task from the day's calendar.
