Mark a task as "Not Done"
Eliot Maurice: 'Ability to mark a task as “Not done”, without rescheduling it or deleting it. Let’s say you have a routine task repeating every day and you miss a task one day, it will always appear as overdue, where I’d like it to still appear on the calendar, only marked as “Not done”'.

I really need this as well, because at this point in time the only option is "Delete" or "Done", with the former leading to this task or idea to not exist at all anymore (no "Deleted Tasks" Section), and the latter falsely distorting the task statistics, because the task was not really "Done", it was simply removed.
So either you can not look into the past what you decided against doing, or you can not easily distinguish which tasks were actually done, or simply ticked in order to declutter the calendar.

Yes! I would really like this too. A way to close tasks as 'cancelled' or 'not done' without having to delete them. This is needed for standard and recurring tasks. I don't want to lose the history of how the task was planned, but if it's not going to be done, the only option currently is to either fully delete it or leave it in 'Someday', which is not a solution as the task hangs around looking to be scheduled as some point.
