When I use the shortcuts (the options you get when long pressing the icon) and select the create task option, the default task time set in options is not being used.

I just had a closer look at this and it seems there is another problem with this. When I use the create task shortcut it actually open two panels, one for creating a new task and one for creating a new event (easy to see if you close the first one, there is still another one left). This also causes an issue where the input field for the task isn’t initially focused (or at least typing doesn’t work until I click into the field). This might also be the root cause for the default duration issue (I suspect it’s messing up the defaults for tasks and events because my event default is 30min in now used for creating tasks).
