Move multiple tasks/events in the calendar

Move multiple events/tasks in calendar view at once.

It often happens, that my day changes and I have to postpone the following events/tasks by say half an hour. I'd like to do it in batches, without moving every item one by one.

Yes, please! My current workaround is to add a new temporary task that spans the duration of the adjacent individual tasks, then turn on "group overlapping tasks" and then move that block. Finally I turn off "group overlapping tasks" and delete the temp task "container". But this is a bit of a pain. It'd be nice to just hold shift and select across multiple adjacent tasks, or hold cmd to select non-adjacent tasks to re-schedule them all keeping their time space between tasks in tact when dropping them later in the day.

As of 3/19/25, TickTick (Web) can do this. They are still rolling out functionality for the native mac app, but the feature works well. This is my most requested feature, and I'm considering switching back to TickTick for this functionality.

Brandon Calano: Thank you for the update on this. This is currently something that we are not yet considering as we align differently with other tools. But hopefully this can be added in the near future!

Jeson P Thank you for the transparency on this - it seems like the dev team has figured out how to make Aki do this. It would be great if we could do the same thing, but have full control over the process.

I can see why this would be hard having to send a lot of API calls at once to many different services.

Hemanth Chiluka: We don’t have a timeline for this yet, but it’s on our radar. Right now, we’re focusing on optimizing Akiflow’s existing features to build a strong foundation before adding new ones. We’ll keep you updated once the team starts working on it!

I work in an environment where projects and calls run over all the time. I need to be able to reschedule my time blocks for the rest of my day. Having to drag each task/slot one at a time is crazy. So many incredible, advanced features of this app, but this is a big oversight. If it's planned, I will subscribe right away! Thank you!

Brandon Calano: Once this is implemented to Akiflow. We'll definitely let you know!

Claire H Do you mean, If you add a task to the calendar and work for it for example '45 mins', if you want to push it back to the inbox you want the duration be carried over or you want the original time you set for it to populate again for this task?

Select multiple events/tasks in the calendar and move them together to a later date

Example: Multi-select calendar blocks, and "postpone 1 week"

This is submitted 4 years ago and still not implemented? If I’m time blocking my day and something comes up or runs over, now I need 40 clicks to rearrange my tasks on my calendar? Motion does this automatically, at least implement the option to do it manually, this is the reason I don’t end up using Aki because it’s too much work.

Hi @Andrew G you can always ask Aki (Ai) to move your multiple tasks for you. Doing it manually isn’t something we have on our immediate roadmap but once that changes we will let you know!
