Rearrange "Today/Upcoming" sections
The Today view is awkward for me because it ends up being a jumble and things that aren't ordered the way I prefer to work. You could offer some customizations.
The customization I would first want would be the ability to see my tasks in this order:
Today's Goals
Scheduled on calendar
Not yet scheduled
This is an obvious hierarchy. I want to make sure I am always mindful of my goals for the day, so those are always on top.
Then, items that I have found important enough to schedule on my calendar are next.
Everything else is, well, everything else.
These should be divided into sections.
The sections should be collapsable.
I should be able to sort the sections by priority or by project by duration.

This, but also sorting by labels, tags, and/or priority at the same time. It's hard to schedule tasks when they're all jumbled up in the list. I end up prioritizing tasks that are higher up just because I see them first, and then I need to re-plan when I see tasks further down the list.

I specifically like to separate out my day (typically work) and night (personal, reflection, self discovery, reading). Sometimes my reading list for the evening overwhelms me when looking at my tasks for today, it would be nice if it was sectioned so that I could collapse it during the workday and spin it open at night.

A more versatile way of implementing this would be to have "smart sections" in the inbox (and maybe in every label) where sections can be added to the inbox and items are placed in a section based on custom criteria. For example, by label, by priority, by status or placement or whatever.

This could later become suggested tasks from your backlog based on some metrics…
