Restore "What's Next" Priority in the iOS Widget
Please consider rolling back this behavior or introducing a configurable option so users can choose whether all-day events are prioritized. Restoring the previous ordering would greatly improve the widget's usability and better support day-to-day workflow.

Thanks for the feedback. We recently changed the widget intentionally so it matches the calendar more closely: all-day events appear at the top of the day, followed by timed events and tasks in chronological order.
We believe this is the clearer behavior for a calendar-based widget, because it reflects the actual structure of the day instead of hiding or deprioritizing all-day events. The previous behavior could make all-day events feel missing or inconsistent.
I understand this changes the “what’s next” feel you were used to, but for now we’re keeping the new ordering.

Hi Tadej, thanks for explaining. I understand the logic of matching the calendar order more closely.
The issue for me is that the widget’s main value is quick visibility into what is coming up next. When I have several all-day events, they can fill the entire widget for the whole day, which means upcoming timed events are hidden unless I open Akiflow.
That makes the widget useless in practice, because I usually only need to acknowledge all-day events once, while timed events are the things I need to stay aware of throughout the day.
Would you consider limiting how many all-day events are shown in the widget to 1?
Other solutions might be either collapsing all-day events or adding a setting to prioritize upcoming timed events?
That would preserve the calendar logic while keeping the widget useful as a “what’s next” view.
Thanks again.

Great feedback. What size of the widget you currently use?
