Emails coming from the user login e-mail to add@akiflow.com could add the task directly, so forwarding emails would take the Subject as the title, Body as Description and any links present inside the email be added as links to a task.
Creating an e-mail to receive tasks. For example: [username]@add.akiflow.com this could be created during signup or just migrate userbase to this system. As a subdomain, Akiflow wouldn't mess the current mail system and could add this as a feature.
This would be great for connecting with ticket systems, mailing apps, etc.

I would like to do this from the akiflow app itself. So click on their connected email account, it would load their inbox within Akiflow. From there, users could drag and drop emails directly into their Akiflow Inbox or convert them into tasks. Seems much faster to me than going to my external email client and send to an email adress..

Would probably be best to have a randomly generated email address (that can be regenerated), to reduce the chance of a bad actor being able to add things to my todo list/calendar.

Is this being oversight or everyone still using Gmail? 😅 I’m a fastmail user and this would make my life easier.

I have tested this feature over the past few days and I have noticed that Akiflow automatically schedules these tasks based on the content of the email. However, I prefer to handle them from the inbox. It would be nice if you could set whether tasks are automatically scheduled by Aki or if they always end up in the inbox.

Hi everyone, you can now send Aki an email to create your tasks in Akiflow!
🔗 Go to Settings > AI Center > Send Aki an email and copy your unique Aki email address to email Aki to create and plan any tasks!
✏️ You can add all the emails that can text your unique Aki email address (your personal email, your colleagues, your partner) to let them create tasks in your Akiflow.
Let me know how this works for you:)

I hope:
flexibility to send from any email address (I don't want to add my +10 emails as integration) but at times I want to create a task from an email
there is some baked-in aki intelligence when creating the task
linking works

I'm doing my best but the lack of email integration is causing me real issues with my workflow. I know there are workarounds but Zapiers is messy, so you're left having to use outlook or gmail. At the moment I'm copying the contents of the email and then creating a task into Akiflow, it works, but it's not slick. For me this is vital, so many other productivity apps have this feature.

Michael: Hi Michael! Thank you for the upvote. What email platform are you currently using and I'm curious what are the reasons why you copy the contents of the email to Akiflow task when we can import them direct from the email integrations?

Jeson P Hi Jeson - I'm using Apple mail. I've tried using outlook to get the import, but for some reason it won't work, I'm getting 'connection failed' messages time and time again, then Zapier intgaration which works but I think is a mess - nothing that comes through makes sense the heading of the task is my email address! and it won't pull attachments through - so I've given up on Akiflow sadly. There's just too much friction for me, especially for apple users. Things 3, Omnifocus all use mail drop using keyboard shortcuts for emails on a lot of different email platforms. No Apple calendar is also a killer.

Michael: Hi Michael, thanks so much for taking the time to share all these details—this is incredibly helpful feedback. I completely understand how the friction you described can be frustrating, especially as an Apple Mail user. I’ll make sure this gets noted for the team as we look at improving email integrations and making the experience smoother in the future. Really appreciate you letting us know.

This seems pretty straightforward.
I have a few options to suggest:
Emails coming from the user login e-mail to add@akiflow.com could add the task directly, so forwarding emails would take the Subject as the title, Body as Description and any links present inside the email be added as links to a task.
Creating an e-mail to receive tasks. For example: [username]@add.akiflow.com this could be created during signup or just migrate userbase to this system. As a subdomain, Akiflow wouldn't mess the current mail system and could add this as a feature.
