Would be great to have a default task template, and possibly in the future: templates per Label
But just having a default one would be amazing

Task and slot templates would be so useful.

Amazing marvin also gets this and i think ticktick also does it. Basically i have chunks of time or tasks that i reuse, but not at regularly recurring times or dates, but i still want to be able to easily reuse them. Let's say i might need to do a 30 min session of budgeting. I cannot commit to having it on the same time all the time, but i still wanna be able to quickly drag it and drop it in my calendar with all the right details.
But also agree with previous posters that right now, trying to hold constantly recurring tasks that are not always performed at the same times (i.e. duplicates) is difficult to manage with the tasks in someday.

Hi Isaac, thank you so much:)
Are you currently using the duplicate option?
Did you consider making these tasks recurrent?

Stefania: Hi Stefania!
I have considered both of those options but neither work well for my application. Making them recurrent doesn't work because even thought they are the same tasks, they never happen on the same days or times from week to week. I've also found duplicating quite clunky as I would have to go back and find/duplicate the 15 tasks every week, and then edit them to be for the new days/times. The lader is why I switched to Akiflow over gCal, as I find that workflow incredibly frustrating and time consuming.

This is a great idea! Right now, I keep some tasks that commonly reoccur at varied times throughout my week in the Someday folder. It's really messy and not ideal, but I do it so that I can keep my task descriptions and easily add them to the calendar. Additionally, it would be great to have a template for the day. An 'ideal day' type thing that I could plug into my calendar when I have a free day, and there would be gaps for scheduling unique tasks. Reoccuring tasks don't add enough flexibility in scheduling since they are always set to the same time. I'm not consistent enough to benefit much from them.

Jocelyne Light: Currently using the same but it does get messy
Provide a way to create tasks from a template that pre-fills a specific name and lets Akiflow set the deadline, duration, project, and the defined subtasks, with the created tasks possibly landing in the Inbox for future planning. Use case: creating a task for each opportunity (sales) via the command bar (cmd+e) currently requires manually modifying parameters / attributes and adding the same subtasks every time.

I think this post could use some inspiration by how Asana does it - https://asana.com/guide/help/tasks/templates

Task templates for recurring task setups
Provide a way to create tasks from a template that pre-fills a specific name and lets Akiflow set the deadline, duration, project, and the defined subtasks, with the created tasks possibly landing in the Inbox for future planning. Use case: creating a task for each opportunity (sales) via the command bar (cmd+e) currently requires manually modifying parameters / attributes and adding the same subtasks every time.
