Hi everyone, you can now see both events and tasks in the Upcoming view! Use the sidebar to quickly check your Inbox and Someday tasks and easily plan them in your week.

Hi everyone, we are adding the Inbox and the Someday as sidebar options in the Upcoming view. Is there anything else that we can improve in this view?

Stefania: ¡Looks great! It still feels something strange for me not to treat the Upcoming View as an alternate version of the calendar, but I trust the Akiflow team implementation.

Hi Samuel, Thank you for the feedback, this is something we are looking into. From where would you like to import tasks in upcoming?

Francesco: I would like to import it from the inbox, because there I can see all the tasks without a date, even tasks that have a label. But what if I want to give a date into my week to the tasks that I have in Someday? Or if I wanna give dates only to my tasks of a label? Having the Inbox view at the side of Incoming view would be not enough. If I delve into the problem that I think I saw, I would say that the Upcoming View should be treated as an alternate Calendar View. I mean, one of the things that makes Akiflow so good for me is the combination of whatever view you can select in the sidebar and the calendar. The calendar is always there no matter where I go, whether it's Inbox, Today, Someday, or All Tasks, and I'd like the case to be similar with Upcoming, I think it would be nice if you can combine the Upcoming view with any sidebar view, just like you can combine the calendar with any sidebar view as well. In a few words, treat Upcoming view like an alternate Calendar View again. I remember reading that the decision not to show tasks without an exact planning time at the top of the calendar was made to have a much cleaner view, but this creates a problem that Upcoming View now comes to solve, but I think it doesn't work quite right because Upcoming View, despite being very similar to the calendar, is not treated as such. I would say that the Upcoming View is more similar to a calendar than a Kanban list. I don't know if I made myself understood, I hope so, since this product seems spectacular to me and I understand that designing an app like Akiflow can be really difficult! Thank you very much for reading me. Im open to any reply or question…

Samuel: Thank you so much for this insightful answer, the issue is perfectly clear. We are working on the redesign of the upcoming view to include a side view of the inbox or a system that would allow to pull from the inbox. We can share any relevant prototype here for feedback.
